Accompanying Person's Programme

Follow your guide through the famous "traboules" (pedestrian thoroughfares), on the slopes of La Croix-Rousse hill to take a trip back through time and discover the "canuts" (silk workers).
You will find the master-weavers in their workshops, ready to explain their trade and offer demonstrations. The tour will be extended to the magnificient Musée des Tissus.

LYON AND THE CINEMATIC ART
With your guide, follow in the footsteps of the Lumière brothers to discover the origins of cinema. From the Avenue des Frères Lumière, which still preserves the pediment of a long-gone cinema, up to the impressive Musée Lumière, set in the Lumiere brothers' family home and former plants, you will find yourself in the heart of the history of world cinema. On the way to the museum, your guide will show you the best of the magnificent trompe-l'oeil that Lyon has to offer (there are over a hundred of them in all!).

GALLO-ROMAN LYON

Follow your guide to the famous "ficelle" railway which will take you to the top of Fourvière hill, birthplace of the Gallo-Roman town, and take in the spectacular 360° panoramic view from the basilica's esplanade. You will be able to see the Gallo-Roman museum and its outstanding archaeological site formed by the antique Roman Theatre and Odeon.

HISTORIC HERITAGE, PONDS AND LAKES

Enjoy a day-long excursion to discover the prestigious histori heritage and the exceptional natural environment of Lyon's region.
You will visit the picturesque medieval village of Pérouges and the magnificent flamboyant gothic church of Brou. In the Dombes area, you will discover tranquil ponds and lakes traditional mud brick architecture. Lunch will be held at a country inn. CANCELLED
